3.1. In order to prove conveyor compliance with the requirements of this Standard acceptance tests and periodic tests shall be conducted.
3.2. IN the course of acceptance tests assembly units of conveyors shall be checked for compliance with the requirements of 1.2.1, 1.2.4-1.2.8 of this Standard.
The tests shall be conducted per GOST 18242. Assembly units listed in the same document shall be considered belonging to one lot.
3.3. One conveyor of each size shall be subjected to a periodic test at least once every three years.
Periodic tests shall include checking of conveyor compliance with the requirements of provisions 1.1, 1.2.2, 1.2.3, 1.2.9, 1.2.10, 1.3.2 – 1.3.5, conveyor completeness, proper assembly, condition of safety devices, actual velocity of the belt, levels of acoustic pressure, vibration velocity. Conveyor shall undergo run-in under the load with continuous operation for 8 hours.
Should the results of periodic tests prove unsatisfactory, a retesting shall be conducted on another conveyor of the same size.
The results of such retests are considered to be final.
4. TEST METHODS
4.1. The compliance with the requirements stipulated in provisions 1.2.2-1.2.7, 1.3.2-1.3.6 and the parts/units coating quality (1.2.8), labeling and preservation of conveyors (1.4.1 and 1.5.1) shall be tested by visual inspection.
4.2. The force on the crank of the conveyor frame lifting mechanism (1.3.2) shall be measured using a special strain gage grip or a dynamometer.
4.3. Acoustic pressure (1.3.5) shall be measured per GOST 12.1.026 at workplaces. The checkpoints shall be located at the height of 1.5 m and at the distance of 1 m from the drive envelope and the leading end of the conveyor. Spacing between the checkpoints shall not exceed 2 m.
4.4. Vibration velocity (1.3.6) shall be measured in the working area at the points of contact between the frame and the base support surface. Where the frame rests on elastic supports, vibration velocity is not required to be tested.
4.5. Reliability factors (1.2.9) shall be assessed during periodic tests using the operation data and applying approved procedures.
4.6. Specific electric power consumption shall be measured when transporting loose material with the bulk weight of 1.4 t/m3.
