4.1.5. Samples from stockpile are taken after loosening in the following way:

            — the whole surface of a stockpile (or its part) is divided into squares, number of which is to be equal a number of spot samples determined according to p. 4.1.4. Spot samples are taken from the centre of a square according to p. 4.1.2.

            4.1.6. While sulphur loading (unloading) of transportation facilities samples are taken:

            from transportation belt (of conveyor) with a mechanical sampler or manually with a scoop by crossing along the entire width with a sampling period providing for the minimum number of spot samples calculated according to p. 4.1.4.

            4.1.7. While stockpile formation in the course of filling, samples are taken automatically or mechanically by crossing of flush with a sampling period providing for the minimum number of spot samples

4.2. Sampling of liquid sulphur.

            4.2.1. Spot samples of liquid sulphur are taken with a sampler from filled tanks or during filling/draining of tanks.

            It is allowed to take spot samples from filled storage reservoirs (holes).

            4.2.2. Spot samples from filled tanks, storage reservoirs (holes) are taken from three layers: one sample from the bottom, three samples from the middle, one sample from the upper part.

            4.2.3. During filling/draining of tanks spot samples are taken automatically or mechanically by crossing of flush with a sampling period providing for the minimum number of spot samples calculated according to p. 4.1.4.

            4.2.4. The weight of a spot sample is to be no less than 0.2 kg.

4.3. Sampling of ground sulphur.

            4.3.1. Spot samples of ground sulphur from sacks are taken with a prod dipping it to 4/5 of sack depth.

            4.3.2. Spot samples from a container are taken with a prod from five spots along diagonals to container corners and in the centre from above to bottom.

            4.3.3. The weight of a spot sample is to be no less than 0.05 kg.
